Rates & Costs

Sale Formula:

$450 for 1st $100,000 of sale price, plus $1 per additional $1,000.

Subtract $1 for every $1,000 under $100,000.

No prior title policy ever or abstract surrendered: add $100

Refinance or Reissue Formula:

• Under $100,000, cost is $225 minus $1 per thousand under $100,000 (minimum $175)
• Over $100,000, cost is $225 plus 50 cents per additional $1,000
• If last policy issued within one year cost is 75% of standard rate
• If last policy issued more than 5 years ago, add $100 to standard rate
• If property located outside of Dane County, add $90 search charge.
